HIDEOUS AND WRONG
CHARLESTON CONDEMNED (Australian and S.Z. Cable Association.i LONDON, Nov. 6. While a dance was in progress at Durham, it was dramatically interrupted by the vicar, the Rev. Mr. Chambers, who mounted a platform and demanded (he discontinuance of the Charleston. Ho said:—"The Charleston is banned by me. I will not tolerate it here. Its movements are hideous and morally wrong, and lacking in grace and dignity."
