MEETING OF COMMITTEE A committee meeting of tho Scottish Society was Held in the Liberty Hall last evening, the president, Mr. J. McLeod, being in the chair. There were also present: Mesdames Park, Reid, Whitelev, and McKenzie, and Messrs. C'outts, Bigger, Brown, Johnson, McMnrray, McKenzie, K. The statements for both reel practice and the September social (ladies’ night) were very satisfactory, the ladies’ night being a record. .Mr. li. E. Johnson stated that he wished to add a word of praise to the ladies’ enmniiilee for the excellence of lheir efforts, and moved (hat the November social be arranged solely by tile main members, including the programme, decorations, catering, and washing up.
