REDUCED TAXATION
RELIEF FOR MARRIED MEN TASMANIAN PROPOSAL (Received September 30, 10 a.m.) HOBART, "September 30. The Assembly has passed a Bill, redivcing land and income taxation for married men. Tho exemption for children is increased from £25 to £39, irrespective of the- income received by the parent, and the. exemption for married men has been increased from £156 to £2OO. If the Legislative Council passes the measure, it is estimated that the relief to ratepayers will amount to £IOO,OOO vearlv.
