LEGAL FIRM’S CHARGES STRANGE BILL OF COSTS. (Special to the Herald.) AUCKLAND,- this clay. The bills of costs of legal firms are often the subject of comment owing to the thoroughness with which each item of service is specified and duly charged for. A jtress representative has seen a bill of costs forwarded to Mr. Air. .T. R. London by the legal firm of Chapman, Tripp, Blair and Cook, Wellington, for services rendered at the Court of Appeal. Each item is carefully specified in the usual legal foray but at the bottom of the second page, instead of figures in the £ s. d. column appear three letters, “Nil.”
