VKsmsDAY'S TK.IMS BACK. a ooju'wrroirs stamina. The relay race conducted yesterday afternoon between Ormond and Gisborne was notable chiefly for the remarkable effort of a, country runner, who, taking the. second distance for liis team, was disadvantaged l to the extent of about half a mile, and yet managed to send las next man away with a deficit of only a few yards. Ingram. Barker, Truman and Thompson were the finishers for the respective teams, Thompson being the worst off at Hie beginning, and never showing up with tlio others. Ingram stayed with the other two for some distance, but over the .last mile went away, winning with some ease.
