TOO LAZY TO WORK
YOUNG WOMAN IN COURT. IDLE AND DISORDERLY. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. When found sitting in a .tramway shelter shed shortly after 1 o'clock on Sunday morning by a constable. Myrtle Ready (23) explained that she had no relations or friends in Auckland, also that she came from Pulararii on Tuesday last mud had been walking about the streets since then. She added that she hail eatctn little food during that time. This morning she admitted in the Police Court that she was an idle and disorderly person. Major Gordon, of the Salvation Army, and also the Female Probation Oflieor, said that she knew accused, who was a lazy girl that would not work. Magistrate Pavilion : She will have to work.
At the request of .Major Gordon, accused was convicted and ordered lo come up for sentence within twelve months, the first three months to he spent in the Salvation Armv Home.
