THE RESTRICTIONS AT SYDNEY.

SYDNEY, June 12. Tho coal strike position is unaltered, hut- it is generally expected that the compulsory conference to bo held to-day will result in a settlement, of the trouble.
Restrictions placed on gas consumers in Sydney resulted in a reduction 0f.30 per cent in tlie gasworks output. , * With the arrival of a shipment of coal and the promise of further supplies, restrictions are being interpreted liberally.
