A deputation from the South Canterbury Power Board to the Hon. .T. G. Coates asked when the second transmission line from Lake Coleridge to Tiniliru would be completed, also for information regarding the development of a second source of supply in South Canterburv.
Mr. G. A. Ga'vcy, inspecting electrical engineer of the Public Works Department, said in reply to Mr. Coates that the second lino would be through by the end of August.
Regarding the second source, Mr. Coates stated that according to calculations the next installation should bo started in 1027. It would be a mistake to say definitely whether it would be in South Canterbury or not, as all the data must be examined.
Replying to Mr. , Rolles.ton, Mr Gavoy'said that the new Lake Cole ridge' unit would bo operating in July
