MATAKAOA HOSPITAL.

MO-NTHCY BOARD MEETING

At the monthly meeting of the Maiakaon Hospital Board, Mr. K. F, ltocd presided, and there were also present: Messrs. O. B-. C. Wood, A. E. Kemp, O. Williamson; J. Clarke, ,T. A. Mullooly, and - Wateno Waititi.

The Director-General of Health wrotc> asking whether the Board had made provision in its estimates for tho administration of the Kahukura Hospital, and stating that, it was understood when tho separation of the district, was agreed to, that tho new Board would bo prepared to administer tho Kahukura institution. —It was decided to advise the Director that the .Kahukura. hospital was in the Wuiupu Board's district, and .that it was not proposed to enter into any arrangement for its management. The Director-General also wrote regarding the provisions for relief grants to persons in distress, and asking whether the Board had entered inlo iinv mutual arrangements with Ibe neighboring boards of the district.— The letter was received.

The nurse's report for the mouth was rond and adopted, and Dr. Wi Repa waited upon tho Board and submitted a report of the eases treated. Following an application by Dr. Wi Repa for a grant to cover the cost- o:l putting his residence in order, it was resolved that a detailed estimate be obtained and considered tit next, meeting.
