BENZINE IGNITES.
.MOTOR-’BUS BURNED. iPer Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, last night. A service ’bus, carrying fifteen cases of benzine, was totally destroyed by fire o.ii. the Inglewood-Purangi- road this morning.
While the ’bus was proceeding through a cutting Ihe driver hoard a roar behind him and had time only to pull Iho vehicle to the side of the road and jump clear before it Was enveloped in flames. The fire burnt- for an hour, during which time traffic through the cutting was held up. Only flic engine and a few pieces of iron were left when the fire died out. The ’bus was the property of Air. L. Prestige. The insurances arc unobtainable.
