CANTERBURY PRODUCE MARKET. •SEEDS S'TrLrTNEGLECTEI). CHRISTCHURCH, April 1.2. A brighter tone was developed during the past few days in several lines of produce. Seeds, however, are still neglected. The Wnikouaiti is booked to sail for Sydney about April 19, with tiOO tons of potatoes. The tilling of orders has stimulated prices and up to £6 per ton on trucks lias been paid. The present; rain may help to rest rid supplies coining to hand. II is reported that several linos have been rejected at the Port. Quotations for a few northern orders that have come to hand are £7 Ills, f.0.b., South Island. Two vessels are to leave for the other island this week, but their cargoes of potatoes will he small.
The pea market has advanced as the result of a. Home inquiry and there have been a few sales at (3s 3d on trucks. So far there art' not: the peas about that wore expected.
There is no alteration in other lines of produce.
