SUBMARINE DISTURBANCE.

DUE TO SUN SPOTS. SYDNEY, Feb. 25. A magnetic submarine disturbance, similar to that experienced recently, occurred in the Indian Ocean yesterday, and disorganised the cable services, which are only now beginning to get back to normal. The disturbance, as in the case of the previous one, was due to sun spots. News has been received in Wellington from Perth, Western Australia, that the present phenomenal activity on the surface of the sun is hindering cable communication. Although nothing unusual has been experienced at the cable stations in New Zealand, it is possible that the trouble may extend to this part, of the globe, as it did when spots occurred on the sun a few weeks ago. Cable communication with the other countries is still entirely normal.
