Charles Goodman, a young man. pleaded not guilty at the Magistrate's Court to-day to a charge of stealing £2lO, and was committed for trial, This evidence showed that accused, with another man. went, to the Post Office Savings Bank with n third man, who was feeble, minded and who drtrW the) money out and banded it to Goodman, who then took him to s«e two doctors, with the result that he was committed to si mental hospital. The doctor said he was unaware of the bank transaction. Accused and Ins companion then went for a holiday trip. Thr< companion, who knew Goodman had been looking after- the alleged victim, stated that Goodman told him the money was a present from Thompson.
