WHARF TRAGEDY.
TWO SEAMEN BUN DOWN BY TRUCKS.
NEWCASTLE. Nov. 15. —7'wo seamen were inn u-.-wn by railway trucks near the King’s wharf last night. One was killed instantly, and the other died :n iho Newcastle Hospital to-day. The . ten wore Charles Brinuicombe, 52, and Frederick Hiring, members of the /.,v-w of the steamer Ivilmaßie, lying at King’s wharf. Firing, who was killed instantly, was a native of Norway. He .joined rhe ship at Liverpool (England) live months ago, and left a wife and son in England. Brinnicombe was a single man, and came from Torquay (Devon). He also joined the ship at Liverpool. The men left the shipu together to do sotno shopping. They went across by the railway bridge, but when returning crossed the line about 10.50 p.ni., and were run down. The news of the tragedy was received with great regret by the crew as the men were popular, and work on the vessel was stopped immediately. ,
