Replying to a question regarding the lost submarine, the Hon. W. C. Bridgeman said the Admiralty always entertained the possibility of a collision, and added that vessels accompanying Ml flew a red flag to indicate <e that submarines were ring.

An examination of the steamer Vidar has not proved whether the damage was; due to a collision with the submarine Ml, but an attempt will be made to collect enough supposed paint found in a few places on the steamer’s hull for a sample to bo forwarded to England foi scrutiny.
