TRESPASS ON RACECOURSE.
“MAKING HIMSELF A NUISANCE."
. An allegation that lie had trespassed on the racecourse during the Poverty Bay Turf Club’s last meeting was made against William Particle. Casey, before Air E. C. Levvcy, S.M., at- the! Magistrate's Court this morning, it being contended that lie was a person excluded from being on racecourses. Detective McLeod said the accused had been convicted of offences under the Claming Act, and therefore, came under the regulations passed bv tho’Turf Cluh. ITo was removed from the course during the last meeting, and admitted having been previously convicted! of a similar offence, and also of breaches of the Claming Act. He was a man who travelled round the country selling art. union tickets, and making a nuisance of himself about racecourses.
Tho Magistrate said that ns the accuse*] had been previously convicted he would bo fined £6 and costs 7s, in default a months’ imprisonment.
