There is a. constant stream of pilgrims to Queen Alexandra’s bier at Sandringham Church. The procession of motorcars is sometimes three-quarters of a mile long. Cardinal Bourne has issued from Westminster Cathedral a request that in order that Roman Catholics may publicly associate themselves in sym pathy with thu Royal family and in recognition of tho Queen Mother’s grad and good example, the Miserere or the litany “Holy Name of J rises” he sung either on Friday or Sunday. The, Minister of Education requests that on the date of Queen Mother’s funeral, on Friday next, children should attend school as* usual, but should observ'd some simple memorial service in recognition of the occasion. The 'Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand passed a resolution expressive of sorrow at the death of tho Queen Mother, and gratitude at, and veneration for heir example of a true, womanly life.
A memorial service to Alexandra, the Queen Mother, is to he held to morrow morning at 11 o’clock at Holv Trinity Church. All citizens, members k if local bodies, Girl Guides, and Boy Scouts an invited to attend.
