Sir Douglas Hogg said Britain rfegrotted tho absence of Turkish representatives because it was embarrassing ■to be deprived of Turkey’s Mosul arguments. Britain contended that the treaty of Lausanne clearly stipulated that in the event of an AngloTurkish dispute regarding the Iraq frontier the League Council’s decision should be binding.
