DAIRY CONTROL BOARD.
CONFERENCE TO DISCUSS METHOD OF ELECTION, Wlkmi interviewed by a Dominion representative, Mr. Backhouse, secretary of the National Dairy Association of New Zealand, stated that his association laid recently decided that a thoroughly representative meeting of butter and checso factory delegates would be convened to meet in. Wellington shortly after the general clod ions. The object of this meeting, said Mr. Backhouse, would be to try and obtain unanimity in the dairy industry regarding the suggested alterations'in tlie method of electing the members of the Dairy Control Board. In the meantime, lie concluded, candidates for Parliament would be well advised to refrain from giving any definite • commitment in favor of the ward system, or otherwise, until after the meeting in question had been held ami some definite decision arrived at, in the interests of the producers of the Dominion.
