MEMORANDA.
To-morrow, at 1 p.m., Mr. Fred Barwrick conducts an auction sale of oak and riinu furniture at the corner of Oswald street anil Massey road, Mangapapa, on account of Mr. Alex. Aldie, who is leaving the district. The dining room is furnished in oak, (lie balance of the catalogue is good, and everything has boon well taken care of. The jubilee of the Gisborne City Band will bfe celebrated tti-morrow evening at the City Hall in the form of a ‘jubilee hall, and every indication points to this being ohe of Ihe most successful dances of the season. The committee have spared ho pains to ensure that the .function will go with a swing from the start, and all the latest, dance numbers will bo featured by Mrs Henley’s orchestta, which is supplying the milsic. It is anticipated that the attendance will prove a record, and the supper arrangements aim nt entering for a very big crowd.
