STRIKE AT WALSH ISLAND.
HIGHER WAGES DEMANDED.
SYDNEY, April 20.
Tho engine-drivers and firemen employed at Walsh Island struck, following the refused of tho management to increase wages. It is feared the trouble will spread to other branches of tho works.

Following the engine drivers’ strike at Walsh Island two hundred men in the pipe foundry have been temporarily put off.
