SUDDEN FATALITY.
DEATH OF MR. R, CLOUGH
The deutli occurred during the lunch hour to-ila.v, under unusually sudden circumstances, of Mr. Robert Clough, engine-driver in the employ of the Gisborne Borough Council. Deceased, who was about 52 years of age, and was driver of the steam road roller, had been having his lunch with the other members of the road gang on the vacant section opposite the Koval hotel. He was taken with a sudden seizure, and fell. Under the direction of the foreman deceased was carried over to the Royal hotel, where he expired. Medical assistance was meanwhile promptly summoned and the police notified. Clough lots been in the employ of the Council for the past four years. He was a married man, residing in Carnarvon street.
