INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
ANOTHER CASE LOCALLY
Another definite case, of infantile paralysis has occurred in Gisborne, the child coming from the west end of the town. The ease is that of a girl, the age of the patient being one year 11 months. The usual isolation precautions have been taken, and the child has been admitted to the Cook hospital. The Health Inspector stated to-day that there were now 12 infantile paralysis patients in the hospital. Fortunately the effects in the majority of cases were not as severe, a.-; during the last epidemic, and there- was every prospect that the children would not suffer as severe after effects ns during the previous epidemic. (Per Pi oss Association.' WELLINGTON, this day. There were only four notifications of cases of infant ile paralysis ’ received by nte Health Department for the 24 hours ending 9 a.in to-day—Manurewa. Christchurch. Waitohi. and Temitke (Westport), one each. A suspected case at Paremata is now stated not to lie paralysis.
TIMARU, last night. Two new eases of infantile paralysis arc reported to-day.
