A FREAK SCHOOL.
EXTRAORDINARY DISCLOSURES (Sydney Sun Cables. 1 (Received March 2, 11 a.m.) LONDON,. March 1. Consternation has been created throughout England by disclosures in connection with an ex-officer’s private school in Suffolk;' where thirty' boys and girls under sixteen are taught, drawing from nude models. The pupils daily romp in the fields naked. Educationists were startled by an exhibition of the scholars’ drawings in a West End salon.
The officer’s sister explains that the school had been established for four years on psychological lines. The pupils were divided into three groups —elves, goodlings, and trackers —with most successful results, emphasising the dignity of the body and the sacredness of sex. Prudish village gossip was inevitable.
The educational authorities say they are powerless to interfere with a private school. Artistic circles applaud, declaring “To the pure all things are pure.”
