Thirty started, including Father’s Voice and Palelight. There " as a long delay in getting the big field away. Vivandra did the early running, hut the latter gave place to Miss Widdcrin. Trice piloted Adrift into the straight, where the last-named took charge below the distance and won easily by three lengths. Half- a head separated Skirling and Validus. Father’s Voice ran well early in the race, but faded out. Palelight finished eleventh. St. George’s Stakes : The Hawk 1, The Night Patrol 2, Amalfi 3. Six started. The Hawk led past the mile, when Sir Dighlock took charge.
