SERIOUS ACCIDENTS.
A BOY KILLED
(Per Press Association. ROTORUA, last night. A well-known farmer, Robert -Shelton, of Kahanioa., was brought, to the King George V. Hospital by the ambulance last night, suffering from serious spinal injuries by being dragged by a horse. An operation was performed this afternoon, the results being reported satisfactory.
NEW PLYMOUTH, last night
A boy, Norman Jones, aged nine, was killed by a fall from a horse- on the Uruti road this afternoon. It is presumed the horse stumbled, throwing tlie bo-v into a drain, with two feet of water. The horse fell on the boy, who was dead when picked up. I Lis father lives at Helensviile. An inquest will be held to-morrow.
