SYDNEY SALES RESUMED
SYDNEY, Dec. 8.
The wool sales were resumed. There was keen competition in all sections and a strong market ruled for good descriptions of merino. Faulty descriptions of both merino and crossbred were slightly irregular. Lambs' wool was in strong demand. Creasy merino fiold t.o 45JU1. SECOND NAPIER SALE, 28.336 BALES OFFERING. GOOD MARKET EXPECTED. Napier's second l wool sale of the season will commence in the Municipal Theatre this evening, when it is fully anticipated that the result to farmers will be, quite ns satisfactory as on the occasion of the first sale a little over a fortnight ago. It has been staled, however (remarks the Herald), that at the recent. Auckland sale, although prices were firm, they were towards the closing stages of the sale, if anything, a little easier. Although a limit of 30.000 bales was placed on the catalogues, the total offering at this week's sale will not reach that limit, the figure being 28,336 bales. The catalogues of the various broilers are as follow, being given in thsi orUer in which they will sell at the sale:— ' Bales.
