TE KARAKA SPORTS CLUB.
Arrangements arc well in hand for the usual sports meeting to he held at To Karaka on New Year's Hay. For many years this meeting has hee'n looked upon as one; of the principal attractions for the holiday season, and it- is anticipated that this year's gathering will be well up (o the high standard maintained in the past. A new departure Ihaf has been decided upon is that the prizes m the horse events will be paid out in cash instead of by trophy. As in former years, a, special train service will he ar ranged, and no effort will he spared to promote llm comfort and entertainment of visitors.
