Tn average humidity taken by the Government Meteorologist over a term of live years, Inverenrgill, with 80.4 per cent., is perhaps the most affected of any town in New Zealand (Westport and Greymouth excepted), though Auckland, with 79.7 par cent... is a very clr.se runner-up. Wellington's humidity averages 76 per cent.; that, of Christehurch is 73 per; cent., with Dunceiin about the same. Rotoru'n. well inland, shows only 66.5, and l'almerslon, which has a river and is near the sea, has an average of 78 per cest.
