ARMISTICE DAY.

The King, Prince of Wales and Duke of York wil" place wreaths on the Cenotaph on Armistice Day; also representatives of the Dominions. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night.

Tuesday next is to be observed as in past, years by two minutes,’ silence,. A cablegram received by His Excellency the Governor-General, from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, a copy of which has been sent by the Government to all local bodies, states: "His, Majesty has approved the following arrangement for the observance in this country of Armistice Day, November 11: (1) A short service will be held at the cenotaph on the lines adopted in previous; years, including the hymn “o>. God, Our Help in Ages Past.” His Majesty the King will be present and will lay a wreath on the cenotaph ; (2) two minutes’ silence will be observed at 11 a.m.”

Local authorities in this country will be asked to arrange for the suspension of all vehicular traffic for two minutes from 11 a.m., but rail and water transport will not be suspended.
