The Federation of British Industries has issued a memorandum, designed to prove that the alteration in the Australian traiff will result in severe detriment (o certain British industries in a manlier that the framers of the regulations have not intended' They declare they would welcome an assurance that the Australian Government is prepared to receive a reasoned statement from the industries concerned, and! to make adjustments removing hardships to individual trades.
