SMALL VARDINGS

KEEN BIDDING AND GOOD PRICES.

The weekly sale under the auspices of the Poverty Bay Stockbrokers’ Association was held at the Mala whom yards to-day, there'being a good attendance of buyers, but only a small yarding of sheep. Bidding was , kefen and prices were good. Thirty-four fat sheep were yarded, woolly cities making 34s 3d, and shorn ewes 23s 7d. Fifty-nine pigs were brought forward, and * wearers made- from 15s 6d for small op to 28s 6d lor go-od ports.; stores rip- to 31s; slips 265; porkers 37s 6d. and bnconers np to 60s. .Only two head of dairy cattle were yarded, and these* were sold at £4. There was a yarding of 2500 store sheep (hoggets). Hoggets mad*, from 29s 6d up to 27s 10.4, empty ewes.from 19s 9d up to 26s 6d, shorn empty evvos from 15s up to 21s, shorn 2-inqth wethers 21s 9d; woolly ewes with iambs at foot, up to 41s 6d; shorn ewes with lambs up to 25s 9d.
