FLIGHT OFFICERS MISSING.
MAY HAVE PERISHED IN DESERT.
(The Times.) (Received August 1, 10 a.in.) BAGDAD, July 31. Caught a fow days ago in a. desert sandstorm two Royal Air Force officers, Flight-Lieutenant Day and Pilot-Officer Stewart, were forced to land eighteen miles south of the Basra-Nasiriveh railway line. Their machine has since been found, hut searchers faded to trace the officers, who, it is feared, perished in endeavoring to reach the railway.
