At- ‘the Supreme Court Frederick Courtenay was found guilty of two charges of theft from the person. The crime took place some months ago, when the police arrested a man named Bourke, now in gaol, on the same charge, and Christopher Martis, a negro, who absconded hail. Courtenay was found by the police a few weeks ago, and after a chase, was arrested. Sentence will be given to-morrow. The Court is now hearing a case in which Julia Ruddlesdon and Fredrick Raynor Finny are charged with the unlawful use of instruments on a single woman, Lucy Rope. DUNEDIN, this day.

At the inquest, on the body of Ernest Pledger, aged 16, who- died on his way to the hospital on July 23rd, as the result of a bicycle colliding with a motorcar, a verdict of accidental death was returned, no blame being attachable to Ihe lady driver'of the car.
