Sets: Petersen •(Denmark) beat Colombo (Italy), 3—o; Feguetr beat Colombo, 3—l; Demo-rpurgo beat Petersen. 3—o. In tiie doubles Hie* Danes beat the Italians bv three sets to one. LONDON, June 17. The Australians Bavley and Willard and tiie* New Zealanders* Fisher, Peacock. Allison, and Parke are nominated in the final entries for Wimbledon under the newly adopted principles, whereby two entrants from the same country cannot meet, in the early rounds. In tiie Queen’s Club championship Rftylcy beat Clark, 6—l, 5—7, 60; Peacock beat Crawley, 6—4, 4—6, 8 -6; Eakuda- beat Allison (N.Z.), 7—5, 6 1. Wallis and Myers and a team of internationals are playing Cambridge University. The players included Brookes and IVl,is.liu, Williams and Washburn, the American members oi the Olympic team. Brookes a.mdi Mishin proved a remarkable combination and won all their matches without losing .a set. The Australian is in, pre-war form. Mishu afterwards described Brookes’ volleying uis uncanny. AUSTRALIAN' TEAM. SAX FRANCISCO, June 3.—The Australian Davis Cup players have arranged to leave Los Angeles on June 20 for Glen Cove, Long, Island, where they will play in the Nassau: championship on June' 30. Following thjs, they whin compete in the New York State championships, which commence on July 7. Schlesinger is trying to rearrange the Chinese* Davis Cup matches for an earlier date than 'that previously /planned, so that the Australians can compete in other tournaments. The* entire team is in splendid shape
