The Canadian Pacific Railway Company announce that it will resume its winter cruises in 1295, one round-tlie-worul arid the other to the Alediterranea.n.
The 22,C00-ton Empress of France, which holds thci record on the St. Lawrence route between Quebec arid Liverpool, has been selected for the round-the-world cruise, lasting four months, and which will completely circle the globe. The ship will start from New York on .January 27th, proceeding through the Mediterranean, and return from the Pacific from .Han Francisco, through the Panama. Canal, with stops at- Balboa and Colon, proceeding from Havana, to New York. The globe girdiers will also visit. Madeira, Gibraltar, Algiers, Monaco, Naples, Haifa, Port- Haiti. Hue/.; Bombay, Colombo. Singapore, Batavia, Alanila, Hongkong, Shanghai, Kobe, Yokohama, Honolulu, and Hilo. At. Haifa, Palestine, there will he an excursion to Jerusalem ; inclusive also will be- a- shore- excursion to Cairo, Egypt, and other interesting places en route. The Empress of France is now being converted into an oil-burner and an innovation in her equipment will be the substituting in her cabin accommodation of single" bedsteads instead of berths, as well as the feature of running hot waiter in all first-class state rooms.
The Em,press of Scotland, 42.5 CC tons, now making a Mediterranean cruise, will also make another two months’ Mediterranean cruise in 1925, leaving New York on February 9th, for Madeira, Lisbon. Gibraltar, Algiers, Athens, Constantinople. Bey rout (Syria), Haifa (Palestine), Alexandra, Naples, Monaco, Cherbourg and Southampton. Passengers may spend two- weeks on the Continent, aftei they have returned to Southampton oil April 11th, and then take the Canadian Pncifie steamers to Quebec via. the St. Lawrence route. At- Haifa the tourist 1 - will he given an opportunity to visit the many interesting places in Palestine, including Jerusalem. An inclusive shore excursion from Naples to Rome will he a feature of the cruise.
