QUEENSLAND FINANCE.
LABOR. AND LOANS
(Australian and N.Z. (’able Association.) LONDON, April 9. Newspaper cables from Australia allege it is believed Queensland needs a cash loan of two to three millions by June to continue public works. Mr. Theodore (Premier of Queensland), states he has not seen the report and prefers not to make a statement.
Other authorities regret the publication of tha report, because whether it is true or untrue, it is not calculated to help the conversion loan, which will not close till April 24.
