EXECUTIVE DISCUSS MOTOR

CYCLE MEETING

A meeting of the executive of the Tepid Baths Committee was held last night for tho purpose of discussing thft hording of a. motor cycle meeting to raise funds for the baths. Mr. A. E. Davy occupied the chair. A letter was received from the N.Z. Athletic and Motor-Cycle Club, advising that Easier Monday was the date lixed for the Napier Motor-Cycle Union’s meeting. The only alternative was for I lie Poverty Bay ' Motor-Cycle Club to hold their 'meeting on Thursday, April 77. The chairman said that the holding of the function on a Thursday would he too risky. It was resolved to recommend to the committee that the resolution that a motor-cycle meeting he held on April 17 he rescinded. Mr. Davy suggested that a monster combined athletic and local motor-cyelo meeting ho held on the Park racecourse on Easter Monday. A programme of events was outlined, and will bet submitted to a full meeting of the Baths Committee on Monday evening.
