New Zealand white 102 sto 103 s per ewt. There is much speculation regarding the effect of unusually heavy supplies due next week, when five vessels from Australia and New Zealand are expected with 100.000 crates of cheese and 190,C00 boxes of butter. Unless the present demand increases considerably, prices must fall owing to the heavy supplies. The Wade suggests that, if possible, shipments ought to be made more evenly in order that there may be no risk of a slump in prices. Tallow stocks amount to 2676 casks. Imports during January were 1457 casks, and deliveries 3114. Cotton quotation, American middling upland. March delivery, 19-40 d per lb. Rubber: Fine hard para, l2 per lb. ; plantation, first latex crepe and smoked ribbed sheet, 13gd to 14rl. Jute : Native Indian first marks, Febru-ary-March shipment, £26 per ton.
