Mr. IMassey 1 the kindly references you made concerning him at; the civic reception accorded me at Gisborne, and also your message of welcome." Thus wrote the Hon. G. .J. Anderson, Minister of Marine, in a letter received by Mr. T. Corson, chairman of the Gisborne Chamber of Commerce. In his acknowledgment to Mr. Anderson of the communication, the Prime Minister stated:— "I was very glad to receive your memorandum of the 29th hist., informing me of the appreciate references nyide to my work whilst abroad, I and thq hearty welcome extended on j behalf of the Gisborne of Commerce ! on my return by Mr, T. Corson, chairman of the Chamber, at, a civic reeepItion accorded you at Gisborne on the 20th idem. May I say how muck I i appreciate Mr. Corson's kind messages, and if you should be writing to him at any time would you be good enough to let him know that I am giad to say I have arrived back lit and well, and much benefited by the sea voyage?" i ___________
