SUICIDE IN HOTEL.

The body of George Lancelot Blackett, aged 30 years, was found lying on a bed in the Prince of Wales Hotel at 8.30 this morning, with his throat cut from ear to car. The wind-pipe was completely severed. A note, with tho words, “Good-bye, I’m one of the rotters,” and a blood-stained razor werw found on a dresser near the body. Deceased had been employed for 21 years as caretaker of the Balmoral plantations, North Canterbury, for tho State Forostiy Department. He lias a wife living in England.
