RAKAUROA SPORTS.
There was a very good attendance at the,'annual sports and picnic held vesterdav in the shady grounds belonging to Mr. JVC. .Smith. Numerous 'hag-, pipe selections were rendered during Ihe day by Mr. G. Grant. In conjunction ■with the.other events, a series of children's races were run on the grounds. every child getting a, prize of some description. Lolly scrambles were provided for the youngsters, and ah spent a most enjoyable day. A catering and refreshment 'booth did good business throughout the day.
