FISHERMEN 'DROWNED

Hie names of the missing fishermen from the /. launch at ' Mooloolah are Harry Jones, Poter Cropp, Chris Briggs, Clarence Borthrayd, Ernest Waddington. Tho boat - was anchored off the scene of the wreck, when a tremendous sea broke tho cable and dashed tho craft'to pieces on the rocks. Ono body has’ been recovered.
(Received August 24, 11.40 a.m.) - • BRISBANE, Aug. 24. •A body found has been identified that-of Briggs. His friends say lie was alive thirty yards from the beach. He met his death on the* rocks.
PERTH, Aug. 23. The steamer Venus was engaged crayfishing when she wafe struck by a heavy squall. Harry Ball and Charles Anderson were washed overboard. Both were wearing lifebelts, but neither was seen again. Others of the crew stuck to tho vessel, which drifted ashore. A search is being made for the missing men, but there is little liope that they have escaped.
