“BEAUTY” POEM.

Hie Proctorial Board of Sydney University created a vacancy on the poetical staff of the University magazine. The board summoned the editorial staff and asked for, an explanation of the publication of a- certain poem written by a young student. The board subsequently interviewed tho student, and informed him that his presence was not desired at the University after- --the present term had concluded. This exceptional action of the board lias created a good deal of resentment among the general body of students. The poem, which is dedicated to “Beauty,” is described as being “frank.”
