IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.

Elec. I'd- Copyright—-United Press Assn (Router's Telegram.)

(Beceived July 11, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 10. In the House of Commons, in reply to questions, Mr. Baldwin said he did not intend, prior to the. Imperial Conference, to state the policy of the Government on matters to be discussed. A debate thereon at the present time would servo no useful purpose. A question as to whether the Government's policy would extend to preference on foodstuffs could not be answered, as a- mass of evidence on the subject must be submitted and explored.
