ODDFELLOWS.
The fortnightly meeting of Loyal Gisborne Lodge, 6087, Manchester Unity Oddfellows, was held last night, the attendance being good after the confirmatiou of meeting. The secretary referred to the recent railway accident, amongst tho killed being Bro. George Morgan, who had for tho past 22 ye:irs been a member, having been initiated in the juvenile lodge in tho year, 1901. A resolution of sympathy with tho relatives was carried, tho members standing. Deepest sympathy was expressed with all who are mourning tho loss of loved ones, and also to those who are suffering. The installation of officers was then proceeded with, Bro. H. J. Clayton, P.G., being tho installing officer, and Bro. W. K. Robb, P.G., with tho secretary, presenting officers Bro. P. C. Niven, I.P. N.G., Bro. A. W. Elliott, N.G., Sister Olivo Cotton, V.G.. Bro. C. O. McKay, E.S., Bro. Geo. A. Holmes, P.G., warden and guardian. An address was then made by Bro. C. 11. Ambridge, P.D.G.M., to tho newly-installed officers, after which tho honors of tho Order were given. The various officer’s returned thanks. Tho invitation from Turanganui Lodge, A.O. Druids to play a friendly game of euchro on Thursday next was received, 'both male and femalo mombors with members’ wives being specially invited. This was accepted. The social committee reported that everything was shaping well for a good turnout on tho 23rd, when a cl'inco takes place in tho main hall.
