The Arahura did not leave Auckland Until 2.30 p.m. yesterday for Tokoauaru Bay audi Gisborne. It will he late this afternoon before slit; makes this port. Upon the arrival of the steamer the inward! passengers arc" to be brought in to the river entrance on the tender and then transferred! to the Harbor Board's Launch Takitimu. The Outward) passengers leave the wharf at 10 o'clock tonight, being it a ken down the riven- on the Takitimu and then transferred'to the. lender to be taken oat to the Arahura. Rain caused the cessation of work at the Wanaka yesterday, and the lighters had)'to bo brought in. It is expected that it will now be Saturday before she completes discharging southern produce here and sails for Auckland.

The Wingatui, which is loading produce, is now to leave Dunedin to-mor-row far Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington, en route to Napier, Gisborne and! Auckland'.

Unfavorable weather impeded the work of landing stores at East Cape lighthouses from the Government steamer Tutanekai. The vessel returned to port yesterday afternoon to shelter until the conditions became more favorable. She set out again this morning for Northern lighthouses. The Tiroa is expected at Auckland to-day from the Coast. She is to load general cargo for Tokomaru Bay, Hicks Bay, and C4isborae. The ketch Huanui, which left v here on Tuesday for Auckland, put back info the Bay at 4.45 p.m. yesterday to await more favorable weather.

Captain H. Smith, late acting-master of the Putiki, is now in command of the Ripple. The Tauranga Harbor Board has received advice from the manager of tho Union Steam Ship Company agreeing to. allot a steamer, probably tho Kini, to % load general cargo and produce at South Island ports and Wellington for Tauranga, via Napier and Gisborne. The board decided to forward copies of the company's letter to the various Chambers pf Commerce in the Bay of Plenty. The Muritui, the new ferry steamer for Wellington harbor, has arrived at .Sydney from Scotland.
