» VALIDITY OF HARBOR POLL
There was a small attendance at the meeting called last evening to discuss iin irregularity in tho ballot paper used for the harbor poll in connection with the municipal elections. Mr. D. Whytc, as convenor, presided, and opened tho meeting with a speech on the harbor situation and the Board's policy. Ho had obtained legal advice, ho stated, to the effect that Captain Franks had power to upset tho election if he chose, on account of his name having been wronly printed in the ballot paper. Those present discussed the situation fully, the opinion being held by sonie that an immediate move should be made to upset the poll, and for the taking of a new poll. After the matter had been reviewed fully, howover, it was agreed that any drastic action should be deferred until after the county elections to-day. It was mentioned that from t tho result of these elections it would bo possible to form an opinion as to whether .any change in thq Borough representation on ..the Board could bo reasonably expected in the event of a new poll. 'J'hey should be able to judgft whotker tho district was or was not dissatisfied with the present policy. The meeting was accordingly adjourned until a date to be fixed after today. - •
