OAMARU ELECTION.

DUNEDIN, last night. J. A. AlaePlicrson, whoso election as ALP. for Oamaru has been nullified, made! the’ following statement! to an Otago Daily Times reporter to-night: “1 shall definitely contest tho Oamaru sea t and 1 wish to give emphatic denial lliiib I! have been approached) to stand down in,favor of Sir J. Ward.” Tho Labor Council of Oamaru will not put up a candidate. Any candidature in tho Labor interests would’ be instigated only through tho auspices of the Return! party.
