He was seventh on the run for home, but, though .finishing in fair stylo, was unable to threaten the
leaders. The Herald tays: The most unlucky horse in the race appeared to be The Cypher, who, notwithstanding being knocked back, stood up gallantly, and worked a.wav to fourth place—a wonderful performance in the circumstances. Wood sat patiently mi David, and coply moved up on the rails at tho right moment, and won with formidable weight.
